4 months agoIf you are looking for authentic Puerto Rican flavors and top-notch hospitality, La Garita in Dundee is a fantastic spot right on US-27.
The food here is incredibly flavorful and beautifully presented. The arroz mamposteao was absolutely delicious and a true highlight of the meal! While prices on some of the plates can run a bit on the higher side, the generous portions, fresh ingredients, and overall quality make it well worth it. The restaurant itself has a great, inviting vibe that is both trendy and welcoming.
What truly elevated our dining experience, though, was the exceptional service. A huge thank you to Camila, who went completely above and beyond for us! She was incredibly warm, attentive, and courteous throughout our entire meal, ensuring we had everything we needed and making us feel right at home. It’s rare to find that level of genuine hospitality.
With fantastic food, plenty of free parking, and standout staff like Camila, we will definitely be back. Highly recommended

5 months agoDelicious and healthy dish. I was looking for a something like this - not fried. And I won the lottery here! Even had coco flan! The grilled chicken was huge and well seasoned. The white rice and beans - yum - plus sweet plantains - i definitely will be returning!
Plus they have fun Latino music, not loud at all. The customer service is excellent!
Plus you can pay your bill at the table.

Incredible food on Hwy 27, specially coming ffom Legoland to I-4. EL Yunque Mofongo. Mofongo with Mamposteao Rice ( Smash Yellow Rice,Red Beans and Ham) adds a unique and tasty flavor. Had mine with Churrasco and Shrimp.
Art design are unique. May need to upgrade the furniture but its good.
Overall, I do recommend eating here.

2 months agoThe food and drinks were great. I got El Yunque which was mofongo with beef and opted to add shrimp. It was delicious and filling. The waitress, Neisha, was very attentive and answered my questions with kindness. I went on a Saturday night and there was live music which was a nice touch to the evening. I do recommend!
