3 months agoGreat place! Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. You really can't go wrong with any of the dishes, at least based on our experience.
The seafood boil was outstanding. I highly recommend ordering it half-and-half with garlic and Cajun seasoning - you get the best of both worlds.
The ceviche was fresh, light, and incredibly refreshing, and the Cajun shrimp were excellent as well.
Don't skip the Bloody Mary - it's one of the best I've had.
The restaurant can get quite loud, and it's a good idea to make a reservation in advance, especially if you're planning to visit for dinner.

8 months agoI've eaten at Bubba Gump shrimp co. A couple of times before but in a different state. The food is always great and so is the service, and here was no exception.
But here our waiter was faster than any waiter we have had before. He came by for drink orders and my wife wasn't ready so he went to bring my diet coke and wanted he will be back faster than you think and he was back in seconds, so my wife still wasn't ready, so he said he would go get water to give her some time. Well that only took seconds, so she still didn't know but then he helped her choose.
During our meal he noticed my diet coke was getting low so he might a refill just before I needed it. He was always available for anything we needed.
Bubba Gump is a chain so you generally know what to expect, but the service here was exceptional.
I think we may go for a second visit before we leave town.

3 months agoNot sure what the point of a reservation is if we’re not seated at our reservation time. We made a reservation for 4 on OpenTable for 7:15pm. We arrived a bit early and checked in with the hostess to let her know we were here. We weren’t seated until 10 minutes after our reservation time, and they even called a different party of 4 before us.
I’ve never seen Forrest Gump, but there’s a lot of references to the movie as well as a gift shop. The inside of the restaurant is well themed and immersive.
The service itself was fine although our server took a while in the beginning to greet up and get us water. We got the calamari to start, and it was bland. I had the coconut shrimp as my entree and subbed my fries for onion rings for an extra $2. I wouldn’t recommend the onion rings as the insides were doughy and undercooked. The shrimp themselves were fine. The meal was surprisingly filling.
One thing I liked was that the cocktails were relatively affordable. I had the Blue Hawaiian, which was alright. I thought the cup it was served in was a little funny looking, but it turns out that it was actually the bottom part of a cobbler shaker that I got to take home. That was a nice surprise. I will note that the lid does tend to get stuck a bit though.
Although I wouldn’t come back to Bubba Gump, I am now curious about Forrest Gump the movie and will give it a watch eventually.

2 months agoVisited this establishment for the first time. For starters I had the Fire Cracker Shrimp appetizer. The entrée I had the Grilled Texas Chicken Sandwich. The shrimp was basic, nothing that I would order again. The Chicken Sandwich average. I could've gotten this same sandwich from a fast food joint that tasted way better. The service at the bar, and atmosphere was good.

2 months agoI was in town taking two of my grandkids to Disney and we stopped to have a late dinner! Luis was our waiter and he was just so kind and patient with the kiddos. He listened to them and checked in on them. My oldest has autism and Luis saw that he was struggling with the time and being hungry. I love this. Thank you Luis! And of course the food was perfect!
